The BGUIMUN 2023 Conference was organised by our Birla Global University International Model United Nations Society on October 6, 7, and 8, 2023.
During the opening ceremony, the Chief Guest, Prof. Sitikantha Mishra, PRO Vice Chancellor, SOA University, educated the audience on the importance of diplomacy and critical thinking in relation to how to conduct research for a Model UN activity using free resources. They received well wishes from our registrar, Dr. B.K. Das, for the three days of the debate conference. The presence of the deans of all the schools and the chairman as well as other faculty members of the BGUIMUN Advisory Board inspired our pupils.
Mr. Mayank Samantray, the Secretary General of BGUIMUN 2023 declared the conference open for the five committees i.e., UNGA DISEC, INTERPOL, UNWOMEN, AIPPM and IP.
Mr. Sanat Puri, the Chief Advisor, Mr. Shreyas Puri, the Deputy Secretary General, Ms. Adrija Dutta Ray, the Director General, and Ms. Dibyasha Kanungo, the Chief of Staffs, oversaw the three-day process to guarantee a smooth flow of debate. To ensure good hospitality to the Executive Boards and Delegates of the various committees, the other USG teams were actively involved in those committees. All the participants in this event also enjoyed the social nights.
After a successful event, Shri P. Mohan Raj, an honourable judge on the Cuttack bench of the National Company Law Tribunal, authorised the closing ceremony. The Chief Guest, the Registrar Sir, and the Dean School of Management presented awards to the participants. At the conclusion, the conference was adjourned.
