Transformation through technology

The banking sector is undergoing a metamorphosis and experiencing a phase which has both pros and cons. Technologies like artificial intelligence, peer-to-peer lending, big data, block chain and digital payments are now regularly used in association with banking and other financial aspects and the banking industry is making constant efforts to integrate these new technologies to serve the customers better. On the other hand, traditional banking is becoming outdated owing to lack of user interest, high costs, old infrastructure and no room for manual processes. Hence, it becomes necessary to create a forum where bankers, academicians, policy makers, students and researchers can share their views on this transformation phase.
