Why Birla School of Law?

Birla School of Law at Birla Global University builds on the legacy of the Birlas —a name long associated with excellence in education, enterprise, and institution building in India. Guided by this legacy, the School of Law was established with a clear purpose: to challenge conventional methods of legal education and to train lawyers who can think critically, act ethically, and respond effectively to the complex legal challenges of a rapidly changing world.

The curriculum combines rigorous academic training with practical skill development and interdisciplinary learning, preparing students for careers in litigation, corporate law, policy-making, and global legal practice. At Birla School of Law, legal education is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice through moot court exercises, negotiation simulations, legal drafting workshops, and research projects. Students regularly engage with real-world legal problems through legal aid initiatives, internships with law firms and courts, and participation in national and international competitions.

A defining strength of the School lies in its faculty. The teachers at Birla School of Law are deeply committed to legal education and bring with them professional experience from litigation practice, leading law firms, and training at some of the country’s most respected law schools. Their goal is not merely to teach law, but to mentor and prepare students to become thoughtful professionals capable of navigating the demands of modern legal practice.
