The ADR Committee of Birla School of Law, Birla Global University, is a student-led initiative dedicated to fostering awareness and practical understanding of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, including mediation, negotiation, and arbitration. With the increasing significance of ADR in the legal landscape, the club aims to equip students with essential dispute resolution skills through interactive workshops, training sessions, and competitions. By engaging with legal professionals and industry experts, students gain first-hand exposure to the intricacies of resolving conflicts outside traditional litigation, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the field.

Beyond academic learning, the ADR Committee serves as a platform for students to develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities essential for legal practice. The club actively organizes state and national-level competitions, panel discussions, and networking events to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among law students. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, the ADR Committee plays a pivotal role in enriching the legal education at Birla School of Law, nurturing future legal professionals who advocate for efficient, amicable, and effective dispute resolution methods.
and negotiation, fostering a culture of collaborative problem-solving within the institution. Each event organized by the club has been designed to provide participants with hands-on experience, encouraging them to think critically and develop practical skills that are essential for future legal professionals.

The club’s journey began with an innovative classroom activity that introduced students to the fundamentals of mediation. Participants were divided into teams and presented with spontaneous mediation problems, requiring them to assume different roles and navigate through the complexities of dispute resolution. This interactive exercise allowed students to experience the mediation process firsthand, fostering teamwork, adaptability, and creative thinking. To further reinforce their learning, the students were also assigned the task of recording mediation sessions and uploading them to YouTube. This initiative encouraged the entire batch to engage deeply with the mediation process, producing educational content that not only showcased their skills but also contributed to wider awareness about mediation procedures. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the students in this activity set the stage for future ADR-related endeavors at the institution.
