The BGU Mess Committee is an integral part of campus life at Birla Global University (BGU), working tirelessly to ensure that students enjoy nutritious, hygienic, and tasty meals every day. The committee represents the voice of hostel residents and acts as a bridge between the students, mess staff, and administration. Its goal is not only to maintain quality and efficiency but also to create a friendly and inclusive mess environment.
The Mess Committee believes that food is more than just a necessity, it’s a way to build community. The team regularly interacts with students to gather feedback, introduce menu innovations, and organize special events such as Food Fests, Theme Dinners, and Cultural Evenings. These activities bring a sense of joy and belonging to hostel life while encouraging open communication and teamwork.
What makes the BGU Mess Committee stand out is its student-centered approach and commitment to continuous improvement. Every member contributes ideas, works closely with the mess management, and ensures that service standards remain high.

The Mess Committee of BGU organized a vibrant and memorable event titled “Food Festa 2025” on 19th September 2025 at the Hostel Mess. The celebration aimed to bring joy, togetherness, and a refreshing experience to hostel students through good food and lively entertainment.
The primary goal of the event was to create a cheerful environment and showcase that hostel mess food can be both delicious and high-quality. The initiative also helped strengthen the bond between students, mess staff, and faculty members, turning the evening into a true celebration of community spirit.
The Hostel Mess was beautifully decorated and transformed into a festive venue filled with music, laughter, and the aroma of delicious food. The event was graced by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean, faculty members, and enthusiastic participation from students and staff.
A wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, street food, and desserts were prepared by the mess team. Students appreciated the food quality, presentation, and variety, making it one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in the hostel.
Student Experience
The response from students was overwhelmingly positive. Many shared that Food Festa 2025 changed their perception of hostel dining, proving that the mess team could deliver creativity, taste, and joy through food. The event also served as a platform to relax, connect, and celebrate together after regular academic routines.
To make the evening even more engaging, a DJ and music session were arranged, where students and staff joined together on the dance floor, celebrating with energy and enthusiasm. The event truly brought out the spirit of unity and festivity across the campus.
