Dr. P.K. Mishra, Ex. General Manager, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC) has taken a special session with Operations specialization students on 20 March 2018, Tuesday at 2.00-3.30 pm. Dr. Mishra, a Doctorate in the area of Warehouse Management and with more than 30 years of corporate experience in Warehouse management function in Odisha State Warehousing Corporation (OSWC), addressed the Operations specialization students of MBA 1st year on the topic “Warehouse Management Strategies and Functionality”. He shared his rich corporate experience of scientific methods of managing Warehouses, Warehousing strategy, Operating principles and warehouse design. He also illustrated the economic justification for establishing a warehouse and how the operational efficiency of a WH affects the broad objective of Logistics Management of an organization. The session has been highly appreciated by all the students who attended it as it gave a different learning and exposure to the students. All the faculty members of Operations area were also present in the session.
