Birla School of Communication at Birla Global University welcomed the BAJMC 25-29 and MAJMC 25-27 batches with an inspiring Commencement Day programme.
The day began with the BGU Kulgeet, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. Shiv Shankar Das, Dean, Birla School of Communication. Student Roshan Savana and alumna Ankita Moharana shared heartfelt reflections on their time at the School, highlighting the enriching academic environment.
Prof. (Dr.) B.K. Das, Registrar, extended his best wishes to the new entrants with his kind words of wisdom. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Sangram Sarangi, Editor (Digital), Argus News shared compelling anecdotes from his journalistic journey, urging students to observe the world deeply and prepare to report what often goes unnoticed.
Chief Guest Ms. Preeti Chandra, Chief Manager (HR) at Torque Communications delivered a powerful address emphasising the value of varied communication practices for future-ready media professionals. In his Presidential Address, Prof. (Dr.) Kulbhushan Balooni, Vice Chancellor, applauded the vibrancy of the School and extended a gracious welcome to the new batches.
A proud moment for the School was the launch of the second edition of Canvas, the in-house magazine created by the BAJMC 24-28 batch.
The programme concluded with the felicitation of the guests, and a thoughtful vote of thanks by Dr. Sruthi Rajan, Assistant Professor and MAJMC Programme Coordinator.
