Birla Global University conducted a blood donation camp on Monday, 12th February 2024 in collaboration with the Red Cross Blood Bank, Capital Hospital Bhubaneswar. A total of 97 units of blood were donated by the students, faculty, and staff members of the University. This noble initiative aims to contribute towards saving lives and making a positive impact on our community.
Prof. P. P. Mathur, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. B. K. Das, Registrar, Prof. P. Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management, Prof. Samson Moharana, Deans, Birla School of Commerce, Prof. L. K. Dev, Dean Birla School of Law, faculty members of different schools, and staff of BGU joined the camp and encouraged volunteers for such a noble initiative. The camp started at 10 AM and ended at 2 PM. The camp was jointly organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) cell and the Youth Red Cross (YRC) cell of Birla Global University, Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar. Mr. Aditya Ranjan Moharana, an NSS volunteer, and Mr. Mayank Samantaray, a YRC volunteer coordinated the event. The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Suvendu Kumar Pratihari, Coordinator, NSS-BGU to the collaborating hospital, medical staff, all donors, and volunteers for making this event successful.
