Padma Shri Pravin H. Parekh is a Senior Advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of India. He has been the Past President of Supreme Court Bar Association for six terms between 2004 to 2014. He has also been the President of Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association for ten years till 2004.

  • Passed LL.B. from Government Law College, Bombay in 1965 with First Class and was awarded Sir Charles Sargent Memorial Scholarship by Bombay University. He was also awarded prize for “Best Student of the Year” by Rotary Club of Bombay.

  Padma Shri Pravin H. Parekh has been in the legal profession as a practicing lawyer for the last 53 years first in Bombay High Court and later in the Supreme Court of India as a Senior Advocate.

  He has the distinction of representing Presidents and Vice Presidents of India in election petitions. His list of clients in legal practice includes Government of USA, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, reputed PSUs, Banks and large industrial houses of India.

  Padma Shri Pravin H. Parekh has been associated with large number of international organizations including International Law Association, International Bar Association, American Bar Association as well as several Indian organizations. He has been active in fighting for the rights of women, children and disadvantaged sections of the Society. He has also been fighting for the rights of consumers and has been a past Chairman of the Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC), Ahmedabad for three decades and thereafter been a Trustee of Chairman of CERC.
